Tuy nhiên, việc hộc tủ vừa cao vừa hẹp dẫn đến một số nhược điểm đáng kể. Cụ thể, khung phụ kiện hẹp khiến khoảng cách giữa hai ray trượt bắt đáy bị thu hẹp, kết hợp với cánh tủ mặt trước cao gây ra hiện tượng rung lắc trong quá trình sử dụng. Đặc biệt, cánh tủ dễ va đập vào hai cánh tủ bên cạnh khi đóng, dẫn đến việc cánh tủ không thể đóng lại hoàn toàn vì phần trên bị nghiêng sang một bên, làm lệch vị trí.

Space Twin – ngăn kéo hẹp của Blum đã khắc phục triệt để các nhược điểm trên. Space Twin có cấu trúc với 2 ngăn trên và dưới, sử dụng ray trượt bắt chéo ở hông tủ thay vì ở đáy tủ. Nhờ vậy, chuyển động của ngăn kéo được đảm bảo ổn định, lực mở nhẹ, trượt êm và cơ chế giảm chấn BLUMOTION giúp đóng cửa nhẹ nhàng hơn.

 

Space Twin không chỉ tương thích với các ray hộp như Legrabox, Merivobox, và Tandembox, mà còn có thể được triển khai với ray âm Movento hoặc Tandem tùy theo yêu cầu thiết kế. Cụ thể, hộc tủ có bề rộng phủ bì 200mm sẽ sử dụng ray Legrabox, Tandembox hoặc Movento, trong khi ray Tandem phù hợp cho hộc tủ có bề rộng phủ bì 150mm. Space Twin cũng có thể được trang bị thêm hệ thống mở bằng điện Servo-Drive.

Các loại chai lọ gia vị từ thấp đến cao, thớt, và khay làm bánh đều rất lý tưởng để sắp xếp trong ngăn kéo hẹp, với tổng tải trọng lên đến 20kg.
